Recognizing the importance and the value of the ALA, Ronda L. Harris joined ALA and the Metropolitan Detroit Chapter in 2008. In 2010, she joined the Board of the Metropolitan Detroit Chapter as the Membership Chairperson and in subsequent years served on the Board as the Membership Director, Secretary, Website Coordinator, and assisted the Diversity & Community Challenge Chair position. For the 2017/18 term, Ronda will serve on the Board as the Treasurer/Vice President Elect. Ronda is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Additionally, she has volunteered to tutor for the Detroit Public Schools Reading Corps and the United Way TutorMate program with Innovations for Learning, as well as participated in the UNCF annual Walk for Education.
Ronda has 30 years of experience working in the legal field in a variety of positions, having begun her career as a legal typist. In 1998, she moved into the legal management and human resource fields. Ronda joined Miller Canfield Paddock and Stone PLC in 2005 and currently works as the Office Manager for its Detroit Office. She received her BS in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resource Management from Wayne State University, and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Walsh College.
Ronda Harris enjoys spending time with her family and dog, reading, health and fitness, jazz, and cooking.
