The Metropolitan Detroit Chapter of the Association of
Legal Administrators was formed to provide support to
professionals involved in the management of law firms,
corporate legal departments, and government legal
agencies. Our mission is to improve the quality of
management in legal services organizations; promote and
enhance the competence and professionalism of legal
administrators as well as members of the management
team; and, represent professional legal management and
managers to the legal community and to the community at
large.

INSTALLATION OF 2010 OFFICERS
Featuring Wendy Rice Isaacs

Wendy Rice-Isaacs is Regional Administrative Director for the Akron and Cleveland, Ohio, offices of Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease LLP.
Rice-Isaacs has been a legal administrator and active ALA member since 1992. On the chapter level, she has served as President, Vice President and Secretary of the ALA Cleveland Chapter. Her chapter involvement also includes serving as the Golf Committee Co-Chair, Vendor Relations Committee Co-Chair, Membership and Pictorial Directory Chairperson, and Newsletter Editor.
On the national level, Rice-Isaacs was ALA President from 2008-2009 and was a member of the Annual Conference Committee (serving ALA 2007 Annual Conference Chair). In addition, she has held numerous positions for ALA Region 3 including Director, Communications Officer and Regional Nominating Committee member. Additionally, she has been an ALA Chapter Awards Judge and has co-authored an article for the ALA Management Encyclopedia.
Rice-Isaacs holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and she is affiliated with ALA’s Cleveland Chapter.
